Overview System5A typical System5 comprises of a number of SCOUTs, one or more BASE units and special PC application software with either a single user or a multi-user license. Optional ECHO and external sensors are also available.A BASE is the device for receiving, storing and forwarding data to and from the SCOUT of an IceSpy System5. The SCOUT and SCOUTPlus are the sensor and logger options. The SCOUTPLUS is a combination of two sensors (Dual channel), housed together with power source (battery), radio transmitter, real-time clock and data storage facilities. A SCOUT is single channel. Both the Scout and the ScoutPlus have an internal temperature sensor while the ScoutPlus has a connector for an optional external sensor. Enhanced features now available
A network of SCOUTs and SCOUTPlus , transmit their data to one or more BASE and BASEPlus units. Monitoring temperatures and other parameters such as humidity, automatically and without wires. Provides real-time multiple alarm settings. Single User Multi-point Measurement SystemUnlimited monitoring points and license free software. BASE units can be networked so multiple geographical zones can be monitored. After one year an annual software upgrade license can be purchased to keep your PC software up to date. Multi User Multi-point Measurement SystemUnlimited monitoring points with multi-user software license. Many added features such as comprehensive audit trail and user-defined formulae. After one year an annual software upgrade license can be purchased to keep your PC software up to date. MeasureAccurate and consistent measurement is the key to integrity of data. Our sensors use thermistor sensors, relative humidity sensors and switches to measure parameters such as temperature, humidity and door opening events. RecordEach SCOUT holds 6000 sets of measurement data, collected from the sensor, on its memory chip in the form date, time, measurement. When the memory chip is full, the oldest data is overwritten first. TransmitData from each SCOUT is transmitted to the BASE unit every minute. Each Base unit can collect data for up to 64 sensors. The distance between SCOUT and BASE Unit can be up to one kilometer without an ECHO. Using an ECHO extends this distance. AnalyseWithin the PC database, data can be recorded at set times. Data is divided between three separate recording intervals of 1-min, 10-min and 1 hourly. Data can also be stored in user defined units (multi-user license only) such as Mean Kinetic Temperature, pressure, pastuerisation rates etc. AlarmSimply logging the data is not sufficient; the user needs to know if the parameter being measured goes over or under preset levels at any time. Consider the cost to a Supermarket should one of their freezers break down one evening or indeed continued to cool well below the temperature required and nobody knew anything about it until the following morning! To fulfil this need the logger needs to be programmed with the level at which to trigger the alarm and also needs to communicate this to an alarm system in some way. All Icespy instruments have user programmable alarm settings. These can be simple- “don’t go above this temperature a or below that temperature b”, or more involved- alarms where a and b vary during the day or are related to a formula. An alarm alert can be received in many different places.
Store and DisplayData needs to be archived and viewed in formats which are simple to retrieve and view but difficult to change or tamper with. The System5 PC software is designed to be used as part of a 21CFR compliant system and as such is robust. Viewing of data is user friendly and export to other packages such as Excel or Microsoft SQL server is simple. |
