System5 Mobile sensor monitoring system
When goods in transit need monitoring the System5 Mobile package is required. The main difference between the standard monitoring system and the Mobile is the way that the data is automatically received by a Bridge.
Data such as temperature and humidity is measured by sensors and recorded on a SCOUT. The data is stored until such time as it can be uploaded to a PC via a Bridge. The logger automatically uploads data via a Bridge when one is found within range.
The Mobile system is like the System5 mini system with the exception that in this system the SCOUT (logger) is not always in transmitting range of the Bridge. The SCOUT or ScoutPlus is able to travel (e.g. in a lorry or container) while automatically collecting data such as temperature, humidity and door opening events. When the SCOUT or ScoutPlus returns to the depot it will automatically find a Bridge and upload all data collected whilst out of range. The SCOUT will continue to measure and send out data whilst in the depot, always ready to store data when once again mobile and out of range.
