June 2009 - New Core Simulant Probe

The S5-T-BLOCK is the latest probe accessory to be developed for System5. This probe has been developed to meet the increasingly precise need to measure product or 'core' temperature, as opposed to measuring air temperature.
This product has been designed to meet the British Standard for blood storage (BS4376) and offers a response time of between 25 and 50 minutes.
June 2008 - IceSpy Anywhere - New web based system with GPRS connectivity
We are pleased to announce the availability of our latest wireless system " IceSpy AnyWhere".
As the name suggest, "AnyWhere" allows you to monitor remote sites that may not have PCs, telephone lines or IT infrastructure to store or transmit data to where you want it. System5 logger/transmitters are coupled with the "AnyWhere" Base Unit to transmit data via a GPRS connection to web server.
You can receive alarms 24hours a day via email or text message. And a streamline web-based system can be accessed from any PC with internet access, to allow further investigation.
March 2008 - Temperature Range and Accuracy Increased with PT100
The addition of PT100 probes to System5, our latest wireless monitoring system now allows you to monitor temperatures between -200C to +450C, with an even greater accuracy (+/- 0.1C to +/- 0.5C)
October 2007 - IceSpy Helps Prevent Legionnaire's in the Netherlands
Outbreaks of Legionnaire's disease can occur from purpose built water systems where temperatures are warm enough to encourage growth of the Legionella bacteria - for example in air-conditioning and industrial cooling systems, whirlpool spas, hot and cold tap water systems and showers.
A Dutch housing organisation hasbeen working with our Dutch partners, Re5al, to install 10 IceSpy monitoring systems using our dedicated pipe Sensor (part name S5-PIPE), to monitor water system temperatures of a large housing complex. September 2007 Wireless Transmitters now ATEX Approved
Risk of explosion in dust or gaseous environments such as mills or extraction plants, has necessitated ATEX approval for equipment used in these potentially explosive atmospheres. To meet the increasing number of requests for ATEX approved IceSpy equipment, the Scout and ScoutPlus are now Zone 2 ATEX approved. The ATEX approved ScoutPlus can be used with any of the external sensors, e.g. temperature, humidity, pipe or door sensors.
July 2007 - You can now monitor any parameter with IceSpy!
IceSpy is now a system that monitors far more than temperature or humidity. With the arrival of the 4-20mA ScoutPlus, you can broaden an exisiting IceSpy system to monitor any other relevant parameters such as gases, flow rates, light levels etc.
