USB / RS232 Module

The USB / RS232 module is one of the slot-in optional communication cards for the System5 BASE and BASEPlus. The USB port offers power and communication for the BASE and BASEPlus units. In a small one BASE or BASEPlus system the USB module offers the simplest solution to connecting the BASE unit to a PC.

It is possible in a multi BASE system to mix and match BASE units connected by USB and Network modules.

There are two communication card slots available in the BASE and the Network card can be combined with any of the others.

The other options include Modem, BMS logic / analogue output, and Network.
