The SCOUT is the Sensor/Transmitter component of System5.

• The SCOUT is a combination of one Sensor (Single channel), housed together with power source (battery), radio transmitter, real-time clock and data storage facilities.
• The SCOUT comprises a single PCB mounted within a custom plastic enclosure. The enclosure is ultrasonically welded to form a watertight enclosure. An external antenna is over moulded onto the plastic case. A wall or shelf mounting fixture is provided as an integral part of the design.
• The SCOUT is in continual communication with other elements of System5
• All communication such as upload of settings and download of data is via radio link
• Radio range: up to 1000 metres in free space
• Temperature range of sensor is -40°C to +70°C
• Internal temperature sensor with resolution of 0.1°C and standard accuracy of 0.5°C
• Stores 6000 temperatures - over 80 days of data
• Suitable for Storage and Transport as defined by BS EN 12830
• BS EN 12830 Climatic Environment type A,B,C and D
• BS EN 12830 accuracy Class 1
• Meets EC Directives for electronic and low power radio equipment.
