The System5 Bridge is the wireless interface that downloads data directly from a Scout or ScoutPlus into the PC. The Bridge is used as part of a Mini-System or a Transport System

The Bridge has two modes of operation, controlled automatically from the PC software:-

1. Auto-receive. The Bridge receives and transfers any data broadcast by any Scout, ScoutPlus and Echo.

2. Download request. The Bridge, on a signal from the PC software, transmits a request for a data retrieval from the Scout or ScoutPlus.

The Bridge plugs into the USB port of the PC. This powers the Bridge and allows data to flow between the Bridge and the PC. It is also possible to fit a Bridge remotely from a PC via Ethernet connection.
