The food retail and wholesale sectors rely heavily on the management of the environment in which food is stored. The Challenge:Before the installation of the Icespy equipment a member of staff had to remember to visit each chill cabinet in turn several times a day to read and record the temperatures manually. How we helped:The temperatures of all the cabinets are automatically recorded by an Icespy MR logger at the optimum period and the results downloaded to a hand held printer as required. With Icespy's ability to set alarm levels and highlight these on the printout, minor problems and trends can easily be spotted and corrective action taken before they become major ones. Since the project started, more than 2,000 MR temperature sensors have been installed in outlets across the country. Whenever new chill cabinets are supplied or existing ones upgraded, Icespy temperature logging sensors are installed to monitor them.
